Welcome to ProjectZwei.net! This site will serve as a one stop resource for any and all Project Zwei information and news. If you have arrived here by accident, you're probably wondering what Zwei is.

Project Zwei (tentative title) is a game created by Tango Gameworks and will be published by Bethesda Softworks. Shinji Mikami is directing the project and has stated that the game will be a true survival horror experience. Even more interesting is the fact that it'll be the last game he directs. Mikami-san is know through out the industry as the father of survival horror, a genre that is loosing it's footing in a market otherwise crowded by mainstream appeal titles. Mikami-san has directed titles such as Biohazard, Biohazard Rebirth, Biohazard 4 and Dino Crisis. His latest title Vanquish was centered around the action genre though was received well across the board.

Equally as interesting, the lead CGI artist from Biohazard Rebirth's environments will be acting as lead environment artist of this project. Rebirth is widely considered one of the most atmospheric titles of all time. All things considered, Project Zwei looks to be a stand out title in every regard. While no platform has been set, it is said to be arriving in the later portion of 2013. Check back for more information as it becomes available.

Like everyone, I too love the art. I honestly do feel like this is the most exciting bit of news.

Equally as interesting, the lead CGI artist from Biohazard Rebirth's environments will be acting as lead environment artist of this project.

Rebirth/Remake really did have one of if not the best atmospheres I've seen in a game, so this is a huge plus.

I really hope this will be a huge game, both in terms of scale and as a survival horror title. Certainly having both Mikami and the lead CG artist from REmake is a huge plus.

Looking forward to seeing how this title turns out. Will most definitely give it a shot as it could be our last stand for a genre that held us so high for so long. I'm confident that if anyone can bring us back from the brink it is Mr. Mikami. From the concept art it looks like we are in for a real treat.

I'm excited to say im looking forward to a true blue survival horror game again, and on the big stage as well. The concept art looks nothing short of spectacular, and i'm beyond happy its Mikami, whose work in this genre is a huge plus. Its nice to be told this game is going to be true survival horror, and if he can pull it off, i refuse to let him drift off into retirement.

This is going to be a very fun ride.

I'd love to comment more but until I actually know more of what the game is about etc., I can't really say much. I'll be keeping an eye on the project though. I registered here 1) to support Yama's site and 2) in case it does end up being something I end up wanting to play once more info is revealed. It's just too early to tell at this point though. "Survival Horror game" is too vague for me.

Here's to hoping for more news soon though.
